Hailed as the ‘noisiest band in Dundee’, Vladimir and the likes of noise rock newcomers Baby Strange are proving Scottish music is at its loudest. With an average age of 20 between them all, their talent stretches far beyond their years, and their potential is endless.

Their free single ‘Come Over’ screams a heavier and even more gothic Jesus And Mary Chain , but keeping the vibe just as melancholy as Joy Division, with its gloomy guitar driven pace and infectious chants of “come over, come over, here” in the chorus section. Another out of this world listen of Vladimir’s has to be their cover of Underworld’s classic, ‘Born Slippy’. They’ve taken this trance anthem and flipped it into a grungy haze which continues to build as the drums become heavier, layered by guitars echoing the signature melody of the song.

Vladimir’s live shows sound gritty and explosively loud, meaning they’ve impressively supported the likes of Peace, The View and The Twilight Sad, joined by their most recent tour supporting Pulled Apart By Horses.

It’s never been a better time for Vladimir to showcase their talent as a young and fresh band, so watch out for them in 2014.
