los-camp

The astonishingly glorious Los Campesinos! are back again with news of a new album and a hefty list of tour dates.

After nearly three years of silence since their last album, ‘No Blues’, Los Campesinos! have announced their sixth album ‘Sick Scenes’, which will see its release on 24th February 2017 on Wichita Recordings. The band – originating in Cardiff – have also revealed the first taste of the album in ‘I Broke Up In Amarante’.
This is the longest hiatus the band have ever taken between releases and this makes us hungry for some more music from the seven piece. New song ‘I Broke Up In Amarante’ is upbeat in its tempo and the harsh guitars are made to distract you from the deeper meaning behind the track. It hints that their sound has changed slightly from their last album, showing that the band is constantly growing and developing their music. They have struggled with this maturing process in the past, but their last album illuminated hope for their future as a regenerated band and this theme seems like it is seeping into their sixth album. This new song gives out real soft-grunge vibes and tears away from their usual indie feel.

Along with this new song they also publicised their plans for UK and North American tours which will take place from February to May next year. They will be joined on the North American leg of the tour by CRYING, an indie rock band from New York.
