Having had a brief time to mellow out after last year’s scuzz-racket ‘Ratworld’, Leeds lot Menace Beach have announced their second album, ‘Lemon Memory’, to be released 20th January next year.

While it’s less sour than its namesake, the first song to be revealed, ‘Maybe We’ll Drown’ is certainly not as ecstatic as their previous material. Menace Beach have tuned down the fizzy grunge-pop of before for dead-eyed slacker anxiety. It’s a slow-burning stomper with an excellent out-of-place guitar solo that reminds us just how cool a band they can be.

You can check out the video for ‘Maybe We’ll Drown’ below. You can pre-order ‘Lemon Memory’ from Memphis Industries here, including scratch-and-sniff vinyl. 2017 tour dates are also listed.
