Psychedelic rockers from the bottom of the world, Tame Impala have jumped back on the radar and have a present for us all: their announcement of a new album, entitled ‘Lonerism’, and to sweeten an already sickly sweet deal, they have released a single ‘Apocalypse Dreams’ for free download!

The single is over five minutes long and takes you on a nostalgic trip through the LSD-tainted 60s in muddy fields. Kevin Parker’s vocals have a dreamy quality that blend with a Motown-esque mix to create a classic 60s sound that you’d be forgiven for thinking was straight out of Detroit. The track has a very similar tone to ‘Desire Be Desire Go’, usually a band that confines themselves to sounding the same throughout their discography gets tiresome but this niche genre fits the band, and they consistently sound fresh with everything they produce.
