Taking your time isn’t always a bad thing, and Bruising are a great example of this. Their forthcoming single ‘I Don’t Mind’ was pieced together by lead singer Naomi Baguley and guitarist Ben Lewis, who traded songwriting ideas during gap years spent in Berlin, and bedrooms back in their hometown of Leeds. ‘I Don’t Mind’ reflects the idea of being in the moment, and carrying on through the midst of loneliest, as Baguley sings, “whatever you are going through or whatever you need to be, I don’t mind.”

Whilst the track has a sensitive meaning, the guitar work is strong and vicious, in a style they’ve honed since their acclaimed debut single ‘Honey’. The track has pop sensibilities with a kick of ’90s grunge girl bands, naturally gaining fans in high places from the likes of Andrew W.K. and Perfect Pussy’s Meredith Graves.
