The Wedding Present have announced an audio-visual tour for September ahead of live dates throughout November and December.

The Wedding Present released their ninth studio album, ‘Going, Going…’, on the 2nd September through Scopitones.

Recorded between Studios La Fabrique in Saint-Rémy-De-Provence in France, Crackle & Pop Studios in Seattle, Washington and Allan’s Cove Studios in Brighton, new album ‘Going, Going…’ is released in a multi-media format.

After the release of The Wedding Present’s 2012 album ‘Valentina’, vocalist and songwriter David Gedge said: “I’d already decided by then that I didn’t want to make the next release just ‘another album’ and so I came up with the idea of twenty ‘interconnected’ pieces of music.

“In the summer of 2014 I travelled across the USA with photographer Jessica McMillan and we made some atmospheric short films to accompany the tracks.

“Since then it’s been a case of progressing through the music, trying all sorts of ideas, seeing how they work set against the visuals.”

The Wedding Present will be playing ‘Going, Going…’ in full with projected film footage that accompanies each track in selected venues in September as part of their ‘Going, Going…’ audio-visual tour.
